One would normally think that the formation of wrinkles is something that usually comes with age. But in some cases, that is usually not true. Especially with many young men and women are seen to have already started developing wrinkles and lines on their faces.
In this article, we will be looking at the various causes of wrinkles, and the best methods to prevent it.
But By the way, what are wrinkles?
Simply put, Wrinkles are fine lines that begin to appear on the face because a particular layer of the skin known as the dermis loses its elasticity. This loss of elasticity is usually caused by the loss of certain protein fibers in the connective tissues known as elastin and collagen.
Due to the loss of elastin and collagen, the skin begins to get very thin and therefore will lose the ability to supply enough moisture for lubrication to the epidermis.
Then, the fat in the upper layer of the skin otherwise known as the subcutaneous layer which always gives the plump and beautiful appearance to the cheeks and the face generally will begin to sag because of the lack of supply of lubrication from the dermis which will then cause the epidermis to sag ultimately causing wrinkles to form.

However, whether you have a sensitive or not, excessive exposure to UV rays of the sun is sure to damage any kind of skin and create wrinkles. Therefore, always use good sunshades (hats, umbrellas, and glasses), and protect your body properly before you go out in the sun. This will help protect your skin from the harsh rays of the sun. Thus helping you prevent wrinkles in the long run.

Healthy foods and antioxidants leave your skin looking attractive and fresh. That is why it is recommended to consume as many vitamins, fruits and vegetables as you can. Vitamins are considered to be one of the best ways to battle wrinkles. Mostly vitamin E.
You can get vitamin (E) capsules in the form of supplements. Or you can eat a lot of vitamins (E) rich foods. Either way, you are on your way to give your body the best.
Vegetables and fruits are extremely useful since they are rich in antioxidants. They keep your skin shinning from inside out, making you look younger and fresh.
Intake of foods that are rich in Vitamin C and Vitamin A are also helping in preventing wrinkles. Most anti-aging products contain Vit A. These vitamins are great at improving skin tone, producing collagen, exfoliating the skin, and ultimately helping you reduce wrinkles.
If you are considering buying a skincare product for reducing wrinkles, look for products with peptides and antioxidants as its ingredients. Peptides are known to be quite helpful in reducing wrinkles.
It is also important you keep your skin hydrated at all times, by taking plenty of water during the day. You can also apply a light moisturizer for restoring moisture to the skin. It also protects the skin from different kinds of allergens.

#4. QUIT SMOKING AND ALCOHOL
Though, there are no firm experiments that have proven the all negative effect of the cigarettes on the skin, apart from the obvious effect on the lips.

The majority of the things that account for our characters, behaviors, physical looks, etc, comes from our genetic make-up which we inherited from our parents (immediate, or grand). Wrinkles and aging rate isn’t an exception.
In some individual’s genetic lines, they do not age as fast, while in others they age quite quickly. Sometimes, these things can’t be treated or prevented because they are in our genes, but they can be slowed down and controlled by not doing things to help them speed up the process.

Water is good, not just for your face/skin, but for your entire body system. The water hydrates and detoxifies elements in the body, thus making your skin look fresher and younger.
However, you don’t expect a quick result from this one. It is a long term remedy and should be used in conjunction with other strategies.
#7. GET ENOUGH SLEEP AND REST
Not having enough sleep can be a major contributing factor to speedy aging.
In the research conducted for a 2015 study, the researchers observed some women about 60 in number. They were grouped into those who had enough sleep, and those who had little or not enough sleep.
After the observation period, their skin textures were evaluated. It was concluded that the women who had the highest score in the aging test were those women who had little or no time to sleep/rest. While those women who took their time to rest and take a nap had the lowest score in the overall aging test.
This simply means that rest and sleep are good for the body. And also good for the skin of the face.
